Who we are

Get Pet Legends is operated by Etienne Lingenheld, 26 Boulevard du brill, L-1281 Luxembourg, Luxembourg - contact hello@getpetlegends.com.

The owner of Get Pet Legends is an individual trader established in Luxembourg and is the controller of your personal data for the website, our mobile apps and our service for AI assistants. For any privacy question or request, email hello@getpetlegends.com.

What we collect

• Your pet photo and the details you enter: pet name, species, personality traits and the style you pick. Before upload, your browser or our app re-encodes the photo on your device, which removes location and camera data.
• Your email address, only if you ask us to email your portrait or when you place an order.
• Order details: name, shipping address and email (plus a phone number only if you give one). These are collected on Stripe's secure checkout page. Card details are handled by Stripe - we never see or store them.
• A random device identifier stored in your browser or in the app, used to count free previews, remember which portraits you created and let you delete them. It is not linked to your name.
• Technical data such as IP address and browser or device type, used to prevent abuse and in our hosting provider's logs, and campaign parameters from the link you arrived through (for example utm_source).
• Ad measurement data on our website only (see Cookies, pixels and ad measurement below).

How we use it

• To create your portrait, its legendary title and legend.
• To take payment, produce and ship your order, and send receipts and shipping updates.
• To email your portrait link when you ask for it and, only if you tick the box (or agree on the checkout page), one reminder and occasional news. Every marketing email has an unsubscribe link.
• To prevent abuse (for example daily limits on free previews) and keep the service running.
• To measure which of our ads work - on the website only, and never in our apps.

Legal bases

Because we are established in the European Union, the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) applies to our processing. We rely on:

• Contract: creating your portrait, processing and delivering your order, and emails you ask for.
• Consent: marketing emails, and ad pixels and ad measurement in the regions where we ask first (see Cookies below). You can withdraw consent at any time.
• Legitimate interests: abuse prevention (free-preview limits), security, keeping the service running and, for visitors outside those regions, measuring our ads - which you can opt out of at any time.
• Legal obligation: keeping sales and tax records.

Who processes your data

We share data only with the providers that run the service for us:

• fal.ai and Google (Gemini API) - AI image generation from your photo.
• Anthropic - AI writing of the title and legend and a safety check (may receive your photo, pet name, traits and style).
• Stripe - payments and checkout.
• Printful - printing and shipping of physical products (receives the print file and your shipping details).
• Vercel - website hosting and file storage; Neon - database.
• Resend - sending emails.
• Cloudflare - Email Routing: messages you send to hello@getpetlegends.com pass through Cloudflare and are forwarded to our mailbox.
• Meta and TikTok - ad measurement on our website, as described below.

Each provider is bound by contract to use your data only to provide its service to us and to protect it at least as well as this policy describes. We never sell your personal information. Some providers process data outside the European Economic Area (for example in the United States); those transfers rely on an adequacy decision such as the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or on the European Commission's standard contractual clauses.

Our mobile apps

• The app stores a random install identifier on your device (same purpose as the device identifier above).
• The camera and your photo library are used only when you tap to take or choose a photo; the photo is re-encoded on your device (location data removed) and uploaded to create your portrait.
• The watermarked preview is saved to your Photos only when you ask for it.
• Checkout opens Stripe's secure page in an in-app browser; we never see your card.
• The apps contain no advertising SDKs and don't track you: no data from the apps is shared with ad networks or data brokers.
• Before your first upload, the app asks your permission to send photos to our AI partners (listed above).
• You can delete your photos, portraits and email requests from the app: Settings > Delete my data. This also withdraws your permission to send photos to our AI partners; the app asks again before any new upload.

AI assistants

You can also create a portrait through an AI assistant that connects to our service (for example through our MCP server or API), by giving it a photo link, a photo, or by uploading the photo on the upload page it gives you. Those photos and details are handled exactly like photos uploaded on our website, and the assistant never handles your payment: you pay on Stripe's page.

How long we keep it

• Source photos: deleted automatically 30 days after upload.
• Generated portraits: the watermarked preview and its share link are kept until you delete them. The full-size, unwatermarked file of a portrait that was never ordered is deleted 30 days after it was created (it can then no longer be ordered); for ordered portraits it is kept so we can reprint it and your download keeps working.
• Orders: kept as long as tax and accounting laws require.
• Email for reminders/news: until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it.

Share links

Each portrait has a private, unlisted link. Anyone you share it with can see the portrait, its title and legend, and order a copy. Share pages are excluded from search engines.

Your choices and rights

You can delete the photos and portraits created from this browser (or in the app: Settings > Delete my data) right now. You can also email us to access, correct, export or delete your data, to object to or restrict processing, or to withdraw a consent you gave (this does not affect processing before the withdrawal). You may also complain to a data protection authority: in Luxembourg the Commission nationale pour la protection des données (CNPD), or the authority where you live. If you live in a US state with a privacy law (such as California), you have similar rights under that law. We will not discriminate against you for using them.

Cookies, pixels and ad measurement (your privacy choices)

We use your browser's local storage for things the site needs: your device identifier, your list of portraits, your choices and campaign parameters. To measure which ads lead to visits and orders we use the Meta Pixel and TikTok Pixel, and for website sign-ups and orders Meta's Conversions API (which receives your email, phone, postal code and device identifier in hashed form, your IP address and browser type, and the order value).

• In the EU/EEA, the UK, Switzerland, Quebec, Brazil and Thailand (and whenever we can't tell where you are) we load the pixels and send ad-measurement data only after you click “Accept” in our banner. “Decline” keeps them off.
• Elsewhere they are on by default to measure our ads. Under some US state laws this can count as “sharing” personal information: you can opt out at any time with the button below, and we honor Global Privacy Control (GPC) signals as an opt-out.
• Pages opened from our mobile apps never load pixels, and app orders are never shared with ad networks.

Children

Get Pet Legends is not directed to children under 16 and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child has sent us personal data, contact us and we will delete it.

AI-generated content

Portraits, titles and legends are created by AI and may be imperfect. Generated image files carry a machine-readable “AI-generated” label. Every result page has a “Report this image” button: our team reviews every report, and portraits reported as offensive are hidden from their public link while we look at them.

Changes

If we change this policy we will update the date above, and for significant changes we will tell customers by email.
